Help me give my students a mirror into my thinking, so I can see into theirs with an Apple iPad and Apple pen to allow me to annotate and model for my students in a direct and meaningful way.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a kindergarten teacher in West Hills, CA to an exceptional bunch of students. My class comes to virtual school excited to learn. They openly accept the challenges of our day!
Our classroom is full of curiosity and discovery, much of which is fostered through books, discussion, and discovery.
Kindergarten is a year of self-exploration, individual growth, and lots of change. It is in this early year of school that students learn the foundation for a lifetime and the skills necessary to navigate the world around them.
My Project
This year, my class has shown flexibility, excitement, and persistence in their learning, even while learning remotely. They have surpassed my expectations for this year, bringing hope and passion to our classroom. Their smiles and love for learning have pushed me to strive for more advanced and meaningful learning opportunities.
An iPad and Apple pencil will be used to support my students in their learning, by bridging my thinking and theirs.
The iPad allows me to mirror my work, as I model and explain my strategy in math, or point to the words as I read aloud to them. In kindergarten, so much of our learning is hands-on, so this tool will allow students to see my use of our manipulatives or the art materials we are using, allowing them to be independent in their learning.
