My Project
Our teaching team has approximately 160 amazing students. Out of these 160, over 100 are deficient in math. In efforts to have all my math students attain growth in math we are supplementing our instruction with Zearn. Zearn is a computer program that works with each child on grade level work and uses Artificial Intelligence to back up and fill in missed concepts, allowing everyone accessibility to math. Zearn for middle schoolers follows our Illustrative Mathematics Curriculum and gives the children a digital platform to grow.
I want to incentivize our students with silicone bracelets and charms they can earn as they complete their weekly lessons.
Our students enjoy working on Zearn and they are expected to complete 3 lessons each week. Incentives are needed to help our children meet this goal and keep the momentum going. Middle schoolers like to collect items and this trimester students will work on earning both a bracelet and the rubber charms to put on either the bracelet or their Crocs. Three lessons a week and you earn a charm. Easy!
