Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember that teacher in middle school, high school and college who used an old overhead projector? Note-taking took forever! My enthusiastic students are eager to learn but they can't all see the transparencies and they become frustrated.
I teach an energetic group of seventh graders in a public charter school.
They are so much fun to teach. They work very hard and try their best. We celebrate learning and success in our teams. They are so eager to come to school everyday. I just want them to get what they came for: an awesome education!
My Project
I teach a very diverse group of students. Although the majority of them are English Language Learners, some of them are also special education students. A document camera will allow my lesson to move smoothly. Students will be able to connect their learning to visuals presented through the document camera. All students will be able to access the content equally.
A document camera allows for teachable moments.
Students can bring visuals to share with their teammates such as pictures, articles, print-outs. My students feel confident being active learners and know that their contributions are highly valuable.
