My Students
I’m blessed to teach a diverse population of pre-kindergarten through fifth graders at a high poverty school located in Central Florida. I spend my entire day teaching these amazing students in my computer lab.
Most of these students do not have access to any kind of technology at home, this is their only time to use a computer to create Power Points, play educational games and learn to type.
As you can imagine, having 20 students in a lab at one time utilizing interactive computer software can become pretty loud and distracting. I would love to provide my students with a pair of headphones to use in the lab so they can do their best on the computers and enjoy the time they are with me.
My Project
My students are constantly struggling to hear their computers with the headphones I currently have. We often times do not have enough headphones to use. The ones we do have are not in the best condition. Some are missing ear covers, some only work on one side, and some have exposed wires. Our current headphones are not made to fit smaller children. They are often too large for our pre-k through 2nd graders.
I want to provide my students with headphones to use in the lab daily so they can do their best!
My students would greatly appreciate your donations so that they can have quality headphones. Your donations will allow us to purchase headphones that will last us for years to come. These headphones are made to fit children of all age groups so that our smaller children can use them as well. They are made so that students are able to block out the noise around them and concentrate on the task at hand.
