My students need a movable storage center to house our supplies.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. M.'s classroom raised $233
This project is fully funded
I have the honor of teaching a special education classroom with first through fifth grade students. Most of my students have a cognitive disability. My school is in an urban community. We do not have much in the way of resources, and a lot of our "extra" money goes towards meeting the basic needs our students.
Too often special education students are at the bottom of the supply totem pole. My job as a teacher is to take nothing and turn it into something. A big part of my students' disability is the inability to get organized. I want to teach them to be responsible for their supplies by having a central location for everything they need. It is also important to learn that everything has a place and it needs to be cleaned up.
By receiving organizational supplies students will be able to master critical foundational organizational skills. The materials will also allow students to learn to be independent.
Your help will ensure that my students are not left behind, and have the right to learn to read just like their regular education classmates. With these materials, my students will learn foundational organizational skills that will help them be an active participant in society later in life.
