Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are learning virtually this year and are not able to access daily material. As result, they are in much need of writing boards to help them practice write their letters and numbers. We have been in virtual school three weeks now and it is very difficult to have them practice writing because the appropriate writing paper is not available.
The students in my class are 4yrs old, the first time in school, and most of them are second language learners.
They are very eager to learn and absorb a lot of information. They are very lovable and adapt to all kinds of situations. The focus of this class is to develop oral language. My wish is to help them get ready for Kindergarten both socially and academically.
My Project
The use of practice writing boards will help my students who are learning from home. My students will be able to practice writing their names, the alphabet and the number. The writing boards will help them with directionality and spacing and correct lettering and number formation.
The practice writing boards will be ideal because the students will be able to use them over and over without the need for appropriate paper and pencils which they can not readily get in their homes.
It will be a fun tool to use for school but at home.
