This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kiddos live in a high poverty area. My school is a Title I school. Everyday is a struggle for some, more than others. Giving them the opportunity to do hands-on center rotations lets our tactile learners excel.
Learning is fun when using technology.
Computers are useful and essential in this day and age. Using other senses helps to differentiate for different types of learners. My goal for my classroom is to create a break from everyday bookwork and worksheets. When we do stations, they get so excited because we get to move around the room while learning.
My Project
iPads are so versatile. They will be used as part of our Reading and our Math centers. My kids will be able to practice their spelling words. They will also be used for research for our projects.
The best part about an iPad is that it’s a break from book work which can be repetitive.
Learning through the use of technology sets up my kiddos for the future. Learning while “playing” on reading and math apps is a wonder. My Firsties need different ways of learning the same thing to succeed. The joy of success is something wondrous to behold.
