This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a predominantly low-income​ school located in Santa Ana, California. A large population of our school consists of ELL students who come from immigrant families. These students do not speak English at home and often times their parents speak very limited English.

The early years are some of the most crucial years in a child's education.

As a TK/Kindergarten/first grade student, it is especially important to begin building a strong foundation for school. Our focus is on creating a comfortable and safe environment for students to thrive.

My Project

Since October my class has had students learning in-person and online simultaneously. Teaching online has been an interesting challenge, but trying to navigate through a powerpoint while on Zoom has made it difficult to be able to see everything at the same time.

A second monitor will allow me to be able to see my students on one screen while sharing a digital lesson on the other.

There have also been times when my projector in the classroom has not functioned correctly and a second monitor will allow me to show the digital lesson to my students in the classroom as well.
