Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazed with the world around us. I teach Kindergarten to low income students in a large city in the state of Illinois.
Every time I introduce a topic in my classroom the students are eager to learn more about it. Kindergarten students are naturally inquisitive and learn the best by doing hands on activities. I try to provide as many hands on activities as I can to enable the students to learn about their environment and the many creatures in it.
I would like to enable the students to not only touch but see how nature has developed different organisms in their environment. The color viewers will enable my students to see how insects can hide in their environment. I am requesting a set of large magnifying glasses and a microscope that has a viewing screen for my classroom so the students can see up close the wonders of small creatures.
Your help will ensure that my students can learn about their environment and the world around them in a fun and enlightening way. The students will not only be able to see nature in an up close and personal way but will be curious and want to learn more.
