This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I love that my students are always eager and excited to learn! Being that we are remote learning at this time they are always logged in on time and asking questions to better their understanding. My students love hands-on activities and can be very competitive at times. Many of my students are visual learners that need specific examples and guidelines to assist with the classroom assignments and activities.
My Project
As a third grade teacher, many of my students are visual learners, which means in order to process the information they have to visually see what is being done. A document reader will give my students the ability to work from home but still be able to work and engage with me using the assigned books and worksheets. Many of my students are also English Learners that need more examples and word building that would take place with oral prompting. With the document reader we will work on Math problems and reading together which will allow the students to not only hear the given words but also see how they are pronounced and spelled.
