Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hi! I teach Kindergarten, in the bilingual program. The majority of my students are experiencing school for the first time, and they are so excited to learn! My students are Spanish speaking, living in a low-income neighborhood, and the majority of my students are receiving free meals during the school day.
Making school a fun place to learn is super important because, for most, kindergarten is their first educational experience.
These tiny children want to try everything RIGHT NOW and be a part of every activity possible. I love watching them explore and figure things out. They are already growing into awesome little people!
I want to give my students the resources for success. My students will flourish with this project. Thank you for your support!
My Project
My students love creating projects in their free time, and my cabinet that holds construction paper is constantly in disorder. The drawers will help keep the paper under control, and the see-through drawers will allow them to find the color that they want right away.
My students are very visual, and many times they need to see a proper example in order to understand their assignments.
The document camera is a quick way to display the pages we are working on, so that the students don't need to wait for me to load the documents on the computer and get the programs working.
