Help me give my students an IPEVO document camera for modeling authentic and organic early foundational skills during remote learning and future in person learning!
The majority of my students are from low-income families. The community in which they reside in is heavily gang infested, high crime, and a poverty-stricken environments. My students face many hardships and challenges daily. On top of the daily issues that my students face, they are now faced with learning through a pandemic.
Each morning when my students log into our virtual learning space I try to create a stress and worry free environment.
I greet them each morning with a smile, words of encouragement and an over abundance of love, hoping that I've created a calm, enjoyable learning environment.
I love that despite the world’s current circumstances my students log into our virtual learning space so vibrant and lively, ready to learn every day! I teach my Kindergartners that they can overcome any obstacle placed before them. Obtaining an education will only lead to and secure a BRIGHTER FUTURE!
My Project
Having this document camera will allow my Kindergartners the opportunity to explore learning in a visual manner. Funding this project, you would allow me the ability to provide my students with an organic and authentic means of modeling the necessary skills being taught. This would allow them to gain a deeper understanding of the skills taught during the modeling process.
Modeling expectations and specific task is a major component in kindergarten and other primary grades.
Teaching remotely is a challenge within itself and has made modeling an even bigger challenge teaching virtually. However, having this document camera will allow me to face this challenge head on and provide my students the opportunity to experience true authentic and age appropriate modeling on screen!
By providing our class with this document camera, you will allow me to provide them a multimodal form of teaching that matches their new way of receiving and learning lesson objectives and facts. Having this document camera will also allow me to be able to make text, pictures, and modeling writing instantly available to the whole class while working remotely.
