This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a group of sweet, generous, and kind-hearted students.

They are in first grade in a Title I school and many of our students have economic and linguistic challenges.

My students love to learn! They love to be active and work hard. The students always come to class with smiles on their faces and a ready-to-learn attitude. The students in my class never give up and always try their best. I strive to give them the best educational experience a school can offer.

My Project

For First Grade, BOB Books are a great resource because they make it easy to transition from learning letters to learning words and how to read them. These books are fantastic for developing young readers. The books cover early literacy skills, the alphabet and its sounds, sight words, short words, sentences, and multisyllable words all in one consistent progression. In addition to providing a foundation for reading, the Bob Books also build our students' identity and confidence as strong readers. Bob Books bridge the gap and help struggling readers learn to read quickly!
