My Project
My first graders are amazing kids who are so excited to learn to read. Our classroom is full of opportunities for my students, but we don't always have enough books to go around. Decodable readers are books that support the science of reading and allow students to feel success in their learning by reading books with phonics patterns they have learned. The confidence that students get when they are able to read a whole book on their own is priceless. These books would give my students the chance to build their confidence as readers and be successful.
