This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work for a low-income community in the South Phoenix, where my kindergarteners come to school with no preschool experience. It is becoming a big issue, since they are staring behind other students around the country. My students need multiple manipulative and hands on activities to learn basic skills (numbers, letters, etc.). Therefore, Montessori materials (counting boards, ten frames, reading blocks, etc) can help my children close that gap in a fun and easy way. The materials in my list will help during small groups (interventions) and whole class lessons.
