This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose." The students in our classroom are my inspiration. They work incredibly hard considering many of them are coming from challenging backgrounds. Despite these difficulties, every single one of them has a great deal of potential that is waiting to be tapped.

I have 26 amazingly focused 4th graders who are determined to succeed despite any challenges that they may encounter.

Many do not speak English at home, and others have individualized education plans. This diversity makes our classroom a perfect microcosm of the real world.

My Project

Luckily, technology is used daily in our classroom (thanks to previous generous donors); however, students often find themselves struggling to hear their assigned computers.

Headphones would greatly help students who often become distracted by outside noises.

A media cart would help me showcase our work, from both the projector and document camera, more efficiently. I am really thankful for all the support our classroom has received from many donors and I am also thankful that the students are thoroughly enjoying their updated classroom.

Last year, the students worked on an climate change​ project that utilized Google Slides to create a document they presented to other grade levels. I hope to continue this project and providing students with these classroom materials with make creating projects easier for them and allow them to focus in a more productive manner.
