My Project
I am a first year teacher for students with Autism. These items will help teach student self regulating skills to calm themselves. When beginning the year at the teacher of this self contained classroom, I had very little supplies or sensory tools.
My goal is to create a place where my students can take ownership in regulating themselves while creating a safe space to learn.
My students are special and unique due to their sensory needs. I have 1 Down's Syndrome student, 1 Emotionally disturbed and 5 students with Autism. They are in grades 3-5.
