My students need educational games, like an instant learning center, power pens and cards, to enhance and enrich their learning as well as keeping them engaged.

My Students
Everyday we start our day repeating, "I'm somebody. I will succeed. I'm in control of my own destiny!" By the end of the year, I would like for my students to score proficient on Common Core state assessment. My biggest challenge is capturing my students attention. Their attention span is short .
We are a Title I school where all of our students qualify for free lunches.
Our school has been very successful in previous years but like many other schools, we have been faced with difficult financial times.
Most of my students have repeated a grade. My students are between the ages of 8-10 years old.
My Project
These resources can greatly impact math in our class. I teach math new concepts in a small group. This method allows me to teach to students strengths and better assist struggling students. Differentiating instruction to these children has greatly benefited them but they really need additional resources to use while they are at other stations. My students will be able to use these resources such as the instant learning center during our rotations and work on improving addition/subtraction with regrouping, or multiplication. The power pens and cards that I am asking for will give the students an extra activity that incorporates technology. They love being able to do anything that is different that your typical old school classroom activities.
The kids would be so thrilled to have math materials that aren't hand-made like the ones they have currently been using.
I have always thought math was very important and I love teaching it. I only wish that I could provide them with all of these exciting new things. It is extremely important to get their hands involved in their learning of math and each of these items will definitely strengthen their knowledge of math concepts.
