Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every student is a unique learner. Every student belongs. I strive to promote a sense of community and 21st Century Approach by creating an inclusive learning environment in which students feel safe, valued, and respected. I strive to consider different learning preferences and maintain a welcoming, print-rich, and intrinsically motivating learning environment that encourages student engagement.
I strive to create curriculum that supports students' academic and social-emotional development.
I am requesting flexible seating chairs and chair bands; florescent light covers and LED lights; Noise Cancelling Earmuffs and whisper phones; as well as fidgets and sensory so that our classroom will be more accommodating and welcoming for all types of learners. I am also asking for some charts, bulletin board decor and reference posters so my students can refer to positive behavior.
Our classroom community would be grateful to be able to enhance our learning environment with materials that we would definitely use and that would be sustained in the classroom with each school year.
