Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the luckiest teacher in the world because I get to spend each day with enthusiastic little learners. They love to learn and find answers to questions.

I work with many students who are English language learners and students with special needs, but they are the hardest workers I know.

My students need a comfortable environment so that they feel at ease and confident each day and are ready to learn.

My Project

Over the last couple of years, we know students' schooling experience has not been typical. Many did not attend preschool, or it was interrupted. All of our first graders' kindergarten experience was not typical due to the pandemic. With this in mind, students need more tools and supplies to help them learn foundational reading skills.

These phonemic awareness and phonics based literacy centers will increase students' readiness to read.

This centers are engaging and interactive, meaning once a teacher instructs students, they are able to build confidence in their independent reading.
