My students need Pink Pom Poms to honor loved ones that have survived and overcame breast cancer.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Joosten's classroom raised $328
This project is fully funded
My Students
Our team has been directly impacted by the loss of a loved one from breast cancer.
Our cheerleaders come from a school that the whole student body receives free breakfast and lunch.
Our cheerleaders can not only cheer but are leaders in and outside of the classroom. The academically accelerated leaders love to motivate others and can be found cheering for our various sports team that they don't even have to (ie: volleyball and softball).
My Project
I took over the team two years ago as a request from the current coach when she was transitioning to heaven from a long battle with breast cancer. Since her transition, our team has increased our presence in the "I Am a Cure" campaign. We have been asked and have participated in the Susan Komen Race for a Cure. The team has served a cure leaders and cheered on race participants.
The metallic pink pom poms will allow the cheerleaders to be visible present in the awareness of breast cancer and help with the legacy of our past coach.
The cheerleaders will be able to show their unity as we stand together to find a cure for cancer.
