Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
File folder games can be a valuable tool for reinforcing phonological awareness in my students. By engaging with these interactive activities, my students can develop their ability to recognize and manipulate sounds within words, a crucial skill for reading and literacy.
The tactile nature of file folder games provides a hands-on experience, allowing students to physically interact with letters and sounds, which can be especially beneficial for kinesthetic learners.
Additionally, these games offer an opportunity to reinforce daily language, helping students become more familiar with vocabulary and linguistic structures. By incorporating file folder games into my lessons, I can create a fun and engaging way to support my students' phonological awareness development and language skills.
