This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love being a bridge for my students by empowering them to own how they feel, know it's okay to feel big emotions, and to help them process whatever intrusive thoughts are preventing them from feeling safe and accepted.

Many times anxiety that we feel can make us believe we are less than enough, which causes confusion and challenging behaviors.

By creating an environment where children are allowed to express their doubts, they learn that emotions are our body's reaction to something in our environment. They also learn how to express and process these thoughts and feelings in productive ways. This space will help them verbalize and own who they are while teaching them they are enough.
