I teach a fun, active group of 25-second graders. They love to learn and work together. In second grade, we learn a lot of new skills every day. These students are eager to learn and apply their skills every day!
My students are on a variety of levels in the classroom.
They need engaging ways to practice the skills they are missing. My students that are reading above level need engaging ways to challenge their brains!
They need new and exciting experiences to keep them engaged in our curriculum. I like to provide them with experiences that will immerse them in the learning and teach them about the world we live in.
My Project
Second grade is a time where students are exploring things and trying to make sense of the world. They are looking to understand things and expand their thinking. We have an incredible science program with hands on experiments that help them explore and learn new concepts. We are learning so many new vocabulary words and science concepts. These science notebooks will help the students record their thinking and remember what they learned.
Writing things down in a place they can look back on will strengthen my students' understanding of science.
They will be able to explain to friends who weren't there or their grown ups what they learned and be able to show what they learned. These would help us in science SO much!
Headphones are always something that we need in class. They use their chromebooks for a variety of differentiated programs. Without headphones, they aren't able to get the full experience. These headphones will help us use these problems effectively.
