This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are emergent bilingual and multilingual learners from all over the world. When they arrive, they have limited English, and sometimes have interrupted formal learning due to crisis and conflict in their home countries. Our newcomer students are eager to learn English and be successful in school but need additional supports to access content in high school classes, regardless of background. These students show that they do matter and that they want the best opportunities possible.

My newcomer students struggle with so many obstacles that they do not need to have basic hygiene supplies be one of those obstacles.

Let's work together to give my students the resources and supplies they need to be successful.

The deodorant is to help students stay fresh after PE or just anytime, lotion to help dry skin, toothpaste for oral hygiene, and other hygiene supplies to help my newcomer students feel comfortable during the day and not worried about basic hygiene.
