Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing supplies for my students will help them to feel more confident coming to school. I have found that many newly arrived students don't have access to hygiene products and are sometimes not in stable housing that provides a place for regular bathing and washing clothing.
I think that if I have these supplies and snacks available, students will be able to focus on learning and have one less thing to worry about.
My goal is to create small care bags for new students and in some cases educate students about personal hygiene.
