This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting popular hygiene items to restock our middle school hygiene kit. These items have proven to be essential in helping my students feel clean and fresh throughout the day. Items such as deodorants, hair brushes, hand lotions, and lip balms--especially as the cold weather approaches and hat hair/dry skin are prevalent-- provide a sense of relief.

I believe that there is a strong connection between maneuvering throughout the school day feeling comfortable and being able to focus and perform well at school.

When students feel like they are supported at school, even through providing resources such as hygiene items, they feel a greater sense of belonging.
