Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The hygiene items that I am requesting for my students will give my students a peace of mind. My sixth graders get to use the showers after finishing their PE class and, for a few, it’s the only opportunity to shower that they have. I want my students to know that they have shampoo, deodorant, and personal hygiene items at their disposal. They do not need to feel embarrassed asking for them because the items already have a special place in our classroom.
My students already face many obstacles on a daily basis but having access to hygiene items should not be one of them.
