My Project
Hygiene items should not be a luxury but a basic right. Many of my students do not always have access to items to maintain good hygiene. I want to ensure that our hygiene locker is always stocked for students to know that their basic necessities can be met. These items include deodorant, combs, toothpaste, mouthwash, hair ties, etc.
Without these basic necessities and it can hurt their health and confidence.
nI want to take one more worry off their shoulders.
During this time, many girls start their periods and may not be prepared with the necessary supplies. I want to make sure that they know they have somewhere that they can go to avoid feeling awkward and having to ask people for it, which they may be uncomfortable doing. By having it out with easy access, they can build the confidence that there is nothing to be ashamed of and that they can go on with their school day without worrying.
