As teachers we constantly assess the needs of our students academically and emotionally. When our students need help academically, we intervene to help fill in their learning gaps. When our students need help with regulating emotions, we intervene to give them the tools they need.
But what happens when students need help meeting their personal hygiene needs?
This project will help our students with that dilemma. This project includes personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, and lotion.
Providing students with these necessary items will alleviate some of the stress of accessing the items on a daily basis. Proper personal hygiene practices have a direct impact on students' health, attendance, and self-esteem. By ensuring that each student has access to basic hygiene items, we can create a more equitable and supportive learning environment for our young learners.
