My Project
We have all been in class as pre-teens/teens and thought "did I put on deodorant","I forgot to brush my teeth" or "oh no did I just start my...". How embarrassed did you feel? With this project I would like to create a hygiene closet for my students that are just beginning that stage in life. They feel too embarrassed to ask for items.
I am a first year teacher that wants this hygiene closet will allow students to feel comfortable in the classroom.
This closet will include things like sanitary napkins, deodorants, tooth brushes and paste as well ask flushable wipes. It will help take the fear out of asking for things as the items like...will be discreetly placed in the pouches and where they can be easily accessed.
