My Project

All students should have access to basic hygiene needs, whether at the elementary or secondary level. Often, students cannot control if they do not have access to them, nor should they have to worry about not having them. Students feel safe coming to my office knowing that they will not be questioned and are invited to get what they need. Also, my current tables are extremely large, which makes them hard to move around.

Having essential hygiene products like deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, and snacks available in the classroom would make a significant difference.

Providing these items not only addresses my students' immediate needs but also teaches them valuable lessons about self-care and personal hygiene. It breaks my heart to see them uncomfortable or teased due to preventable issues. These snacks will feed student's brains and provide them to get through their lesson and power through their school day. Let's put smiles on their faces and fill their bellies with some yummy snacks and goodies!
