This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Food is a very important part of all of our lives and a good way to bond with others. In our classroom, while students are working, we often talk about what we like on our pizza and our favorite places to get a bite. My class is a ceramics and we make pottery. We also grow plants from seed to put into our pots. Having the experience of growing plants from a hydroponic garden system would be an enriching experience most students have not had.

Having the gardens in our classroom would teach students a way that they can grow plants such as herbs indoors throughout the year.

Students would learn how to plants seeds into a pod and grow the plant in water instead of soil. And plants are a great way to create a pleasant, natural environment in a room.
