This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Being a Title I school, almost all of my students are second language learners. Their drive to learn and achieve is amazing.

My students are the face of the United States of America.

Some were born in this country to English speaking parents. Some were born in the United States to Spanish or Vietnamese speaking parents. Others were born in another country and immigrated to the United States. One thing that all of my students have in common is their zest for learning. They are so wonderful in that they don't see the differences between each other.

My Project

We are requesting refillable CamelBak water bottles to use at school and at recess. Last year, our school had two hydration stations installed in the cafeteria. The students love being able to refill their bottles at school.

It is important that we teach kids the importance of staying hydrated.

Each student will learn to be mindful of staying hydrated throughout the day.

Additionally, these bottles will be used in the classroom. With the reclosable tops, students will be able to keep their water bottles at their desks. And these bottles won't make the crinkling sound that the one-use bottles do!
