My Project

My first graders are the brightest students I have ever met, and they look forward to going to school each day. When they are at school, they make a concerted effort to please their parents and teachers. They are the icing on the cake of my day. My students do come from low socioeconomic homes, and many struggle to meet basic needs. Regardless of the obstacles kids experience outside the classroom, they arrive at school smiling. Our students are permitted to carry water to their desks for the duration of the school day. Many of my students are unable to bring water daily due to financial constraints.

I want my students to be hydrated and ready to learn.

Having water, juice, and gatorade readily available will assist my students in staying hydrated, especially as the warm weather approaches. They receive daily recess and require water to stay hydrated. Our water fountain has been shut down due to COVID, and I do not want my students to go without water simply because they cannot afford it.
