Help me give my students the ability to participate in virtual instruction safely!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Sapp's classroom raised $330
This project is fully funded
My Students
A typical day in my classroom consists of students coming to class, sitting in their desks, and preparing to take notes. I normally assign work that can be done with paper and pencil because many of my students do not have access to technology at home. However, COVID-19 has provided us with a new normal where we must include a hybrid teaching environment.
Each child has the unique ability to comprehend, but it depends on the educator to deliver the instruction in a format in which the student will understand.
Our school is very supportive when it comes to student learning and growth. My students love anything that has to deal with technology, but need one-on-one attention, whether it be virtual or face-to face. We do the best with what we have, but my students deserve more! If my students and I had access to portable microphones and ppe in our room every day, I would be able to provide students with a learning environment that promotes critical thinking skills to students that are virtual and face-to-face.
My Project
My students currently have school issued chromebooks that allow them to view the teacher, but it puts a limit on the teacher's movement in the classroom. In preparation for students returning to the classroom in the coming weeks, the portable microphone system will allow me to move around the room and engage with my students while remaining socially distant. There is also personal protective equipment included in this project to allow students to interact with the teacher without spreading germs. The proper use of face mask and gloves will allow deeper intervention and support for a variety of students.
In funding this project, you will close the learning gap for many students and help students that are face-to-face, as well as virtual maximize their learning potential.
I teach math, and it is extremely important to demonstrate various methods using visual models and demonstrating the different skills and strategies that students can use to master their learning targets. What better way to give back to a child than to ensure that the necessary time and attention be given to all students. Please donate today and look forward to a brighter future!
