Hurricane Sandy Relief for Displaced Schools in Staten Island

My students need supplies to help students and teachers who are displaced to different schools in Staten Island due to Hurricane Sandy. Supplies include books, manipulatives, a flow of the day chart, notebooks, and visual aids such as whiteboards in order to ensure that they are still able to learn even under these sad circumstances.

My Students

Students are facing the challenge of being displaced from their community schools due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy. Teachers and students are in need of supplies in order to continue learning while not being in their normal school setting.

These students have felt the effects of Hurricane Sandy.

Their school has been badly damaged and many of them have had even more devastation at home due to the storm. These supplies would help students and their teachers get back to learning while still dealing with many of the changes that Hurricane Sandy has brought to so many lives. These donations would provide the displaced school with much needed help, since they cannot return to their community schools for materials.

My Project

These supplies will provide students with the resources that they need to continue learning while they are still dealing with the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. They will be able to read, use manipulatives, have a flow of the day chart, write in notebooks and have the use of visual aids such as whiteboards in order to ensure that they are still able to learn even under these sad circumstances. The displaced students are eager to learn and just need the resources to do so!

This project is so important because so many students in Staten Island have been effected by Hurricane Sandy.

In order to ensure the sense of normalcy that is school back to these students, supplies are necessary. Hurricane Sandy has been devastating but our students are ready to get back to work while our borough rebuilds. Please donate to help our students get through this trying time.
