Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am the proud teacher of 19 wonderful students. My students are hard workers. They help each other which is great, because they are learning to work as a team. My students are economically disadvantaged, but their families are very supportive in their child's learning. They come each day with a desire to learn and succeed. I want the best for my students. I want them to succeed in their lives and be our future doctors, teachers, nurses, lawyers etc.
My Project
We need the black ink cartridge for the printer because we print many interactive activities such as place value, addition/subtraction, patterns and multiplication for the students to master the objectives of the week. The ink is also needed to print out important information for parents on a weekly basis. Keeping the parents informed is very important to me. We also have projects where the students need printouts. There are many more activities that require printing, such as weekly leveled reading books for fluency and comprehension. The markers and pens are for our writing center. This makes writing more exciting. We write both in Spanish and English. We also need dictionaries so the students are exposed to new words on a daily basis.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
