My students need this carpet so they will have a place to read with their fellow classmates. This carpet will allow students a break from sitting in their desks.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am the proud teacher of 19 wonderful students. My students are hard workers. They help each other which is great because they are learning to work as a team. My students are economically disadvantaged, but their families are very supportive of their child's learning. They come each day with a desire to learn and succeed. I want the best for my students. I want them to succeed in their lives and be our future doctors, teachers, nurses, lawyers etc.
My Project
The carpet would be used daily for all classroom instruction, especially read aloud and reading centers. It will also aide with classroom management, It helps that the carpet is divided into various colors. This will help provide a smooth transition from their desk to the carpet and vice versa.
Also, The carpet is also beneficial because the students can complete independent assignments in a comfortable and warm place.
The carpet also provides the student with a noiseless and structured place to complete their work. A carpet is a necessity in any classroom because it provides safety for the students a well as the teacher.
