This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My incoming first grade students are learning play, collaboration, and self management strategies. They are eager to learn and are enthusiastic about a school that fosters creativity.
Soft starts are an invitation to start the day in a calm manner.
Students ease into the day's work by channeling creativity and curiosity. With these materials, they will be able to build, create, and be innovative. By having these materials readily available, I hope to tap into their social emotional well being, so that I can help them start their day in a positive way.
