Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It's hard to focus on learning when you skipped a meal. Unfortunately, many of my students do not eat breakfast or lunch during the school day and find it challenging to focus on academics. They are always seeking out a snack from those around them.
Having a quick snack readily available helps my students shift their attention from their growling tummies to solving the math equation or writing an analytical essay.
With their hunger tamed, we can shift our focus to the academic learning of the day and be more successful learners and in turn have a more successful school year.
