The purpose of this project is to assist my migrant students in their classrooms. My students are recent immigrants who lack numerous resources and often come to school hungry. Having access to snacks throughout the day will increase their stamina and focus in the classroom.
We would offer bars and snacks in the early morning to students to give them the sustenance they need to focus in the classroom and keep their energy up.
In addition, we would use the microwave to heat up various snacks and soups for lunch. The spoons would be used for the soup as well.
My students are mostly teenagers who struggle with language and are living in shelters. Any food and comfort would go a long way to help their well-being.
