My Project
I started an after school choir club this semester, and it has taken off! I have close to sixty excited, eager musicians that are giving up time out of their day to continue learning about music. These elementary children come to my classroom immediately after the school day ends, and they are hungry! Since we are practicing for an hour, I need their attention on the music, not their growling stomachs.
I am requesting Rice Krispie Treats and bottled water to curb their hunger so that they can extend their school day and focus on what needs to be done.
Some of my students aren't able to provide a snack, and no one should have to sit there hungry. I would like to take that burden off of my parents and, with the help of this community, provide this simple snack for my entire group of children.
