Hungry Brains Can't Learn

Help me give my students snacks to send home to keep their bellies full and brains growing! Also incentive sweets to motivate students who work hard!

My Students

"I grew two levels!" a student exclaimed. Students cannot wait to share their growth with their peers and teachers at our school. Our students attend a zoned school in east Nashville where 100% of students receive free lunch. All students walk or are driven to school, and parents and families are eager to be a part of our community!

My students are full of love!

I cannot wait to see each of their faces in the morning. Every day, we start with literacy centers, go to specials (yoga, gym, music, or math intervention), whole group reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Every day, they grow socially and academically to be their best selves.

My Project

I am asking for snacks and incentives for 3 2nd grade classes at our school. This will provide 90 students with the choice of snacks to send home so that they are not hungry at their house. Our school already provides 100% free lunch but students ask me all the time to take home extra snacks. I never want to say no to a hungry student, and try to keep my classroom stocked with prepackaged snacks available to students. Students cannot focus and grow their brains when their needs aren't being met. Through helping me fund this project you are helping put snacks in students' backpacks so they they do not go home hungry.
