I would love to give my students daily snacks to keep them energized all day. Currently, I provide snacks on Tuesdays, and I see a difference in their stamina. Having snacks for the class more often will help balance their metabolism and keep them focused longer. Many students don't have extra snacks at home and rely on the school for their food and nutrition needs.
Having snacks on hand will help students with mid-day hunger and get us through the day on a more positive foundation.
My goal would be to provide a snack to all 24 students 3x a week to boost their stamina and learning. There are times when students need snacks just to get through until lunch. It is hard for them to engage when their basic needs have not been met. Help me meet their needs.
