Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love the meaningful connections we build every day in our Spanish classroom. Language learning is more than vocabulary and grammar—it's about opening windows into diverse cultures, perspectives, and stories. To deepen this experience, I am seeking support to bring the Huellas curriculum into our classroom.
Huellas is a powerful, culturally rich curriculum designed to spark curiosity and elevate Spanish language proficiency.
With its engaging, real-world content, it empowers students to explore the Spanish-speaking world while building the advanced skills they need for the AP Spanish Language and Culture exam.
My goal is to use Huellas as a supplemental resource to better prepare my students for the AP exam. It aligns closely with College Board standards and offers high-interest themes that connect with students' lives. It will provide structured, authentic practice with interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational tasks—boosting both confidence and performance.
