Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Huskies are a group of incredibly resiliant students who often have experienced trauma. Huskies will use pillows, weighted dog and stuffed animals to strengthen their self management skills. They will become more emotionally intelligent, allowing them to become successful problem solvers as young adults. The goal for this school year is to center focus on student individuality and belonging as a community, and these tools will help students to see the best in themselves and others. These items will also support our school-wide PBIS initiative, which will allow students to remain motivated and engaged in their learning and positive social experience.
