My Project

We are starting a new space for entrepreneurship for both classes and clubs to use with students for real world product creation. Students can design and produce custom merchandise like t-shirts, tote bags, hats, or aprons. HTV projects have low start up costs as they require minimal materials: vinyl, a heat press (or iron), blanks (like shirts), and a vinyl cutter. Students will be learning a full business cycle such as product design, production, marketing, pricing, sales, and customer service—all essential entrepreneurial skills.

Students will be making items with HTV that they could sell at school events, to sports clubs, or online.

Students will design logos or custom graphics creating brand identities. They will then apply the HTV to the apparel items. Students will create social media mockups, flyers, or product videos for their HTV items. Students may even host a “pop-up shop” at school or a virtual store where they can practice customer service and POS transactions. They will also track costs of materials and calculate profit margins.
