My students need, and the school district as well, several materials including binders for a trouble-shooting guide and printed tutorial of how to use the web-based intervention program called MobyMax.

My Students

The students that are impacted by this project are students in both elementary and middle school. Our school district just purchased a web-based program which will be used as a resource to help students who are one or two grade levels below in one or more of the core subjects - math, reading, science, and social studies. These students are in need of some extra small group or 1:1 help and this project will help motivate and create a positive outcome for all students involved.

My Project

As of the 2015-2016 school year, beginning in the 2016-2017 school year, our school district in South Dakota made the decision to purchase the use of a program called MobyMax. MobyMax is a web-based, individualized, and standardized, program to aid and enhance students' skills and abilities in the four Core subjects of Math, Science, English Language Arts, and Social Studies. This decision was based upon the great success of small-scale experimentation in a middle school classroom setting. The program will be implemented throughout nine separate schools within the district among the grades of one through twelve, in addition to Kindergarten. As coordinator of the MobyMax program, I am responsible for the items needed for this project as well as the Thank You package for all the wonderful donors to our project.

Accompanying training binders with trouble-shooting and tutorial information will be placed at all nine schools with two binders per elementary school.

The binders are Avery Heavy-Duty View with One Touch EZD Ring 1" need to be organized for quick reference, therefore the Staples Large Tab Write-On Dividers in assorted colors with 8 tabs are very helpful for locating different needed references, Staples Nonstick Top-Loading Sheet Protectors, Medium-Weight, Clear, will provide a crisp, clean look for easy reading, and the 10 reams of Staples Copy Paper, LETTER-Size, 92/104 US/Euro Brightness are needed to start the project. With this quick reference, tutorial binder, it will help the teachers provide different options to differentiate each child's learning. Staples Portable Poly Expanding Hanging File Pocket Folders, 3 1/2" Expansion, Assorted Colors, Letter, Holds 8 1/2"H x 11"W, 5/Pk will be used to house all the data for each school and their successes!
