My Students
Quick minds need readily available supplies. I teach 8th grade Social Studies in a small rural district in southwest Mississippi. What we find ourselves in need of is a supply of plain white copy paper.
Our school's supply budget has been cut to the bare bones, leaving students from disadvantaged home in need of basic supplies that their parents cannot provide.
My students are eager to learn and their parents are willing to do all they can, but in these tough economic times, school supplies unfortunately are not high on the priority list in some households.
My Project
This is where you, Dear Donor, can make a world of difference. Your contribution to my request can provide my students with the printed materials they need to be successful in their studies. With your assistance, these eager young minds can continue to learn about our American history, our place in the emerging global society, and the different cultures that come together to make America the "melting pot" that it is.
A few boxes of plain white copy paper will get us through the remainder of this school year, and I will be able to send some well-educated students on to achieve great things in their high school studies.
